The First Part

V.

In this table, I demonstrate how to make a head-on face divided into four equal parts, for the oval, noted in my figure A, which is the true way to see it in perfection; by which, the arrangement is found to form the eyes, nose, and mouth. Therefore, as it is for the hair in the first division, for the eyes in the second, for the nose in the third part, and for the chin in the fourth, the perpendicular line separates the face into two equal parts. Figure B shows the head of a dead person, Figure C teaches the practice for the perfection of a rather young face, and the other D an older one, maintaining the same proportion.
