Having demonstrated in my Problem 19 how to properly sketch the legs & feet, now I intend to show the correct method of arranging them with the pen. Therefore, I found it quite useful and appropriate to illustrate through anatomical terms, ABC, so having principles make it very easy to understand the muscles and all of those components. This facilitates drawing them with the pen after having first sketched them with charcoal, as shown in figure 19. Therefore, it seems pertinent to discuss the aforementioned method, to clarify how to provide shadow E, and shade it well. I wish to again show the same part of the leg D, initially shown as E, from behind F, in profile, and having already traced it lightly with a charcoal, and produced two pens from where it needs to be noted well, to mark the shadow and the muscles, having three pens, namely one thinner than the others for hatching around, another for nearby shadow, and the third for a darker or deeper shadow. First a light stroke is applied, then retraced, maintaining a firm grip on the pen for equivalent hatching, and wherever it needs a sharper highlight, the ink should be allowed to dry before making the third stroke, illustrating the true method for shading with the pen.
& here follows the further demonstration in my case. The problem has been shown how gentlemen Doctors or others can learn differently than the manner of pointing with the pen.
