Human Limbs

The line that follows is the Heart line, and the third next to the fingers is the Table line. From the first, one can predict someone's Short or Long Life, and many Illnesses; From the second, one can infer the Intellect, and what peculiarities someone might manifest in their Life. And from the third, to know if someone prefers a rich or meager Kitchen. And since these Deceivers would find ample material to speak on, they have claimed all the bumps of the fingers, and those between and around the aforementioned Lines, assigning them to the Planets. The one from the Thumb to Venus, from the first Finger to Jupiter, from the Long Finger to Saturn, the one behind to the Sun. The Pinkie to Mercury. The triangular bump between the Life line and the Heart line to Mars. And the one between the Heart or Table line to Luna or the Moon: Consider what Thieves? And so, depending on whether these lines, which mark the aforementioned bumps, are large or small, they claim to know someone's Passions, Virtues, and Vices as precisely as if they were fully informed. We never believed in that Vagabond Art; but do want to acknowledge what they uphold. The big line near Jupiter indicates someone who is peaceful, good-humored, and thoughtful in speaking. The one from Saturn, ripe of Judgment, insightful, possessing much and faithful to their cause. The one from Mars, Fighters and Liars. The one from Sol or the Sun, Pious, Happy, and Wise, but a bit of a Hothead, that is a bit Brave. The one from Venus, somewhat Subtle, and the rest explains themselves. The one from Mercury, quick and nimble.
