Human Limbs
The horses, which otherwise often needed to pull a loaded wagon, cart or sled, because the load lying still is heavier and presses more on the ground, would start moving than when it is already in motion. In this case, the gentle and easy disposition of a horse often prevents the load from toppling over. The drivers considered this a particular virtue in their horses, when they set out their load without fits or abrupt movements. And many a horse, to the contrary, under many devils and sacraments, often courageously from the whip. The children who still live in freedom and do not yet know the difference between right and left, often pretend so easily and deftly their actions with the left hand, than with the right hand: Yes often they would so firmly get used to it; or have already become accustomed, that they cannot unlearn it with great difficulty; therefore most of the teaching depends; And those who see a left-handed person, find it strange, because it not only runs contrary to the accepted manner, but because it as such, produces a great disorder in the common interaction and cooperation of people. Similarly, then some, who have violated the common rule of teaching so far or have escaped beyond it, that they have remained left throughout their lives. Those on both sides who are right-handed, are generally strong and deft people; But those who are left-handed, are certainly clumsy and slow people.
