Actual Activities

There should not be any Idlers seen in the scenes.

Idlers and assist. And as in these, so must one also guard against the contradictory. One must never make distorted or contorted Images; but generally establish the rule that Breasts and Buttocks shall never be seen straight on from the front at the same time.

The Actions and desires must in general be adapted to the state or Age of the Person; Avoid attributing Male Actions to Children, nor give Young Men or Women the Doings of Old People. For the Actions and skill of the Doings differ for these as much as the Years, the figure of the Body and the essence. In the Children, some movements are somewhat quick; but there is always seen a certain kind of Foolishness regarding their Doings; And a timid bashfulness, marked in their going and standing, holding and gripping. For since they neither have the experience of many things and Doings, nor can they adapt some of their Limbs, due to shortness and stiffness to many things; or that they are still weak and tender: so they are uncertain in governing their actions. And thus it is observed that in their grasping and holding, they behave just like a drunk Person, and as a blind one gropes for what is held before them. They also grasp things quickly and unconsciously; and lay hands on things to Lift, Drag, and Throw them, which are more than ten times beyond their ability: Likewise often to do a small thing, they make a much larger Action; and over a straw or small twig to carry, act as if they have loaded a whole Beam.
