and that they are also probably moved by the Soul, which by Nature is such that it has as many different perceptions as there are different movements occurring in this Gland. This feeling is somewhat strengthened in us when we notice that the Brain now and then, either out of astonishment or by accident, is dazed; thus, the entire mechanism of the Human is disrupted. For we see the good governance and control of the Spirits broken. Sometimes a person lacks control over Hearing, Seeing, and Feeling, acting completely irrationally, simply confused. From this, it is not clearly demonstrated that perceiving things through our Soul occurs not only in the Brain via the Nerves, but that the control of the Spirits according to our free Will also happens elsewhere. And although it is known to us that contemporary medical experts reject this feeling as ridiculous, for they cannot see that it corresponds with the discovery of Anatomy: Nevertheless, when we observe that anatomy usually deals with dead Bodies, and that in such cases, very little of the functioning of the Spirits, the movement of the muscles, the flow of the Blood, and other things necessary for Life can be seen or tracked, because all the Vessels, Tubes, Glands, and Membranes are slack and collapsed, and the Clockwork has stopped (which we nevertheless know that in Life is fully full of Spirits, and fluid and lively Blood and juices, which all the Tools of the Human swiftly serve with the slightest thought.
