The text is a formal address to students of drawing, detailing the author's methodologies and the legacy of his father's teachings. It includes a theoretical discourse on drawing, illustrating the steps for establishing proportions in the depiction of a child's figure using the head as a reference point. The text blends practical advice with philosophical reflections on the art of drawing and pedagogy.
To the Eager Learners of the Noble Art of Drawing.
The length of time has sufficiently taught me that my late father's honest intention in publicizing his newly established principles for learning the art of drawing, under the trusted supervision, discovered through theoretical practice in three parts, has not only proven beneficial for the Germans but also for other nations. If this will continue in the future use. Regarding his further narration to obedience, should I ruin this beginning, this page would reasonably be; regarding the disclosure of a secure master teacher. Although the noble drawing art, however bitterly the inferior method may be acquired, through one's own further efforts to retain the practice. However, the lack of execution; and a few still ready disciples, have honestly convinced me; the fixed stand to take art; to communicate the divine rise of figures of the former studying youth) under a divine rise. Therefore, this lower part was ultimately extinguished to make a new provision or as much clarity as the previously suggested new Teachings to fix, (indeed some writings are possible, but in these sects should not be used. The fixation of that current state of continuation; the second continuation for attaining understanding that should be included; as I am already inclined to provide to the eager learners with all possible benefits and advantages.
On the Proportion of a Child.
The head is consistently taken as the measure of proportion for all proportion-pictures, thereby determining the remaining limbs. Thus, as shown in figure A and B on page 7, begin in this manner. The entire height of the head takes a third of the length of a child will in a square stand which is divided into 1/2 equal parts, and from this width the sixth part is removed; to determine the breadth of the head. The first part takes the skull, and equals half. On the other hand, a line is set; From this first vertebra, the other from structure and uprightness. The skin grows a third higher. The remaining length of the eye-motion for the exact anatomy is divided into 7 parts, of which the first is eye-level; the second the nose then indicates length between the upper and lower lips almost up to the jaw, which shifts lower the chin, and depicted thus on the face as longitudinally represented. Thus, most of the parts define the height thickness. Therefore, all designation in terms of the different parts should be indicated; regarding the greatest parts by all proportions.> Quirinal with p; the smaller ones but r over Stature. Accordingly, the initial head is aligned according to presumably; the breadth however black three p, is a fox; only the lines of the length of the eyes are divided into five parts; thus the breadth of the eyes is adequately represented, as are noses and cheeks. We start with the other representations of the entire one. The Line C, again in 4 K, or.
