The text discusses anatomical observations regarding the differences between male and female rib and clavicle structures. It notes that women have sturdier upper ribs to support breast weight, while men have well-formed ribs. Additionally, it explains that women's clavicles are less curved to enhance beauty, but this limits their arm movement compared to men.
Bone Connection
Adam and Eve were created with their backs to each other; and later they were divided in the middle: So that what was once a burden on Adam's back now became a support in front of him. However, these ideas do not entirely agree with Moses. Anatomists note in women's bodies that the cartilage of the upper ribs is sturdier than that of the lower ones; because the breasts of women add significant weight. Strong men usually have well-formed ribs; but it is often observed that they are sometimes a bit rash in judgment. Those who have smooth and small weak ribs are feminine and delicate.
14. The Clavicles, are seen on both sides as one; and they were named so because they enclose the chest, and they have the shape of the old keys that were used in earlier times. At the front of the chest, they seem slightly curved and hollow, so as not to constrict the passing vessels: in women, they appear slightly less curved, to enhance the beauty of the bosom: Similarly, it is noticed when they protrude from scrawny necks, thin and dry, it looks unattractive; and we would advise those with such a condition to cover them, rather than expose them, as it brings no beauty to their bosom. And since women have somewhat straighter clavicles than men, it is thought this also prevents them from moving their arms as weakly and swiftly as men: they also cannot throw a stone well without lifting a small bone.

Translation Notes
- "Schreepige Halsen" translated as "scrawny necks" refers to thin, protruding necks.
- "Regter" translated as "straighter" specifically indicates the alignment rather than curvature.
